According to the Certified Compensation Professionals’ analysis the median expected salary for a Graphic Design Specialist in the United States is reported to be $46,760. Based on job titles like, Art Director, Creative/Design Director, Designer, Entry-level Designer, Owner, Partner, Principal, Print Production Artist, Senior Designer, and Web Designer, the salaries could be in the range $40,000 to $105,000. Full-time salaried graphic designers are today earning between $35,000 and $60,000 with the median wage at around $45,000. Skilled graphic designers work as freelancers or on contract where they demand wages depending upon their experience and creative ability, size of the project, area and location of work and other miscellaneous expenses they might incur.

Graphic Design Education Requirements:

Based on the graphic designer’s inborn creative talents, skilled eye and their acquired technical acumen their salaries vary relevant to their experience. It is rather difficult to determine graphic design salary. The graphic designer’s educational qualifications, work experience, the stature of the company they work for, and their job title play a very important part in the fixation of their salaries.

Highly skilled graphic designers who are experienced in drawing, layout, lettering, diagramming, photography and typography and can develop layout and production designs for newspapers, magazines, journals and other publishers are very much in demand.
